Geelong’s Ultimate Wine Festival

Join us for the 21st annual K rock 95.5 Toast to the Coast festival, where the finest cool-climate wines from the Moorabool Valley, Surf Coast, and Bellarine Peninsula converge.

This year, we’re holding the event at Deakin Waterfront Campus in Geelong which is where it all started 21 years ago! Explore some of the best local wineries with 60+ wines on pour, along with guest distilleries, and breweries, all under one roof. Savour the flavours and discover your favourites while enjoying live music and DJs throughout the day.

Your ticket includes a 5-hour session of complimentary tastings from top producers, a delicious snack of your choice, live entertainment, and a Plumm glass to take home. Additional tastings, and drinks by the glass or bottle will also be available for purchase on the day.

‘Geelong vs The Rest Of The World’ Masterclass

LOCATION: WHITE RABBIT

Pinot Noir Masterclass 3.30pm – 4pm

Join Graham Sutherland, Lead Educator at Archive Academy, Geelong’s leading wine education institute, and Director of Archive Wine Bar as he showcases the wine varietals Geelong is best known for alongside international examples. Graham will explain how Geelong has positioned itself as one of Australia’s finest wine-making regions and why our wines are outstanding in an international context. This fun, interactive session is capped at 14 guests, so be quick.

Masterclass series

Wine 101 with Nicola Reid

2:30pm-3:30pm

WSET Educator Nicola Reid will arm you with all the tools to walk the talk when it comes to wine tasting. With a swirl, sniff and swill, learn about what your looking for in the appearance of the pour, the olfactory elements of wine; what to look for when you smell wine, and taste characteristics on the palate- from where we appreciate specific qualities on the tongue, to sweetness, body, tannin acidity and finish. We’ll have you walking out with all the confidence to know your stuff when tasting the 60+ wines at Toast to the Coast!

ENTERTAINMENT

Live Music – WHITE RABBIT

Lisa Hanley

With simply her voice, guitar and a stomp box Lisa plays warm room-filling covers for music loving audiences of all ages.
 
Lisa plays a range of music that will take you back, show you more, get your foot tapping, and of course pay the original artist a compliment for their writing and delivery.

4pm – 8pm

Steven Clark

Steven has a strong influence from Ed Sheeran he uses a loop pedal to create multi-layered tracks on the spot with other influences including Passenger, Incubus, Pete Murray, Matchbox 20, The 1975, Damien Rice, and Craig David to name a few. Playing a wide range of genres from rap, rock, reggae, pop, as well as many of the classics he is able to cater for a wide range of audiences.

Don’t want the day to end?  Here are some options for you.

Morning 11am-3pm Guests

Continue the fun after K rock 95.5 Toast to the Coast by taking a short walk down the laneway to Little Creatures Canteen, where you can enjoy a late lunch. Try delicious wood-fired pizzas, hand cut frites with aioli, tempting salads or food to share in a relaxed setting. Plan ahead and book a table to avoid disappointment.

Afternoon 4-8pm Guests

Our Official Afterparty will be held at The Geelong Hotel this year.  Enjoy 3 vibrant bars, including rooftop bar, an open kitchen and live entertainment.  A free shuttle bus to Geelong Hotel will depart from Little Creatures carpark at 8.30pm, 9.00pm and 9.30pm.  No need to book, first in line will secure the seats.
