GETTING AROUND

You have a few options to choose from to help you get around the region. Choose the one that suits you best based on the type of experience you want:

Private Car (with designated driver)

Ideal for people who don’t know which wineries they want to visit yet, or in which order.  This option gives you the freedom to choose how and where you want to go on the day. One designated driver are allowed to accompany a group of ticket holders, and entitled to a complimentary soft drink or tea/coffee.

 Toast Shuttle Bus

Ideal for couples and smaller groups who are happy to let us draft the tour route and timetable. We have streamlined the bus routes and timetables so they have set routes to great wineries. Book in your departure time from Geelong Station and Ocean Grove, then you’re free to hop on and off along the set routes as you like.

Private Bus Charter

Ideal for a larger group (10 or more) who want to their own bespoke itinerary winery tour. Nominate a group organiser to book your minibus or coach, and then register your group itinerary with us. You’ll be registered and booked in with priority access to your preferred wineries for the time slots that you want.

PRIVATE BUS GROUPS

PRIVATE BUS REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL

It is essential that all private charter buses (including minibuses, coaches, and wine tour operators) carrying 10 or more passengers, register their group and hire bus company details and then book in your itinerary for your specific times and venues for the day. Private Bus Groups may not be permitted entry to a winery without a booking.

Follow these easy steps:

  1. Purchase your entry tickets (we recommend you do this as a group – we have seen individual people miss out because they didn’t buy tickets quick enough)
  2. Register your group and hire bus company details
  3. Download the program and choose your preferred wineries to visit (available soon)
  4. Book your group’s itinerary with our ticketing team

10am-5pm on Saturday 2nd November at the wineries and 11-2pm/3-6pm on Sunday 3rd November at the Pier. On Saturday, venues will not be open beyond 5pm, so please plan ahead and ensure you are finishing your drinks and food by 5pm, and understand your transport options.

What's on at each winery? Is there a program of activity?

Each winery develops its own event activity, menu and entertainment. Download the event program to see what’s happening at each winery. Your event day wristband will allow you access to all areas of the event to enjoy.

How do I choose the right ticket for me?

Entry tickets – if you are getting around via a private car or private charter bus or wine tour operator, then you select the Entry ticket.

Entry and Shuttle tickets – these tickets are for people who intend to catch the Toast shuttle bus.

Can I buy a ticket on the day of the event?

Tickets will be available (via Ticketebo website) on the day unless sold out prior. The event was a sell out last year, and we anticipate it will be just as popular again. We recommend you purchase your tickets now to avoid disappointment.

Can I purchase a weekend ticket for Day 1 and Day 2 of Toast to the Coast this year?

Toast to the Coast Day 1 and Day 2 are ticketed separately.  Day 1 is at the wineries and Day 2 is at the Pier.  If you would like to attend both days of the event, please purchase a ticket to both days.

It is event policy that all private buses be registered and booked in for a specific time to visit each winery. This includes all private charter buses/minibuses (e.g. with a professional bus driver, self-drive, or with a tour operator).

You will then be emailed a unique bus registration number (to display in your bus) and a bus booking phone number (to call to schedule in your group’s detailed itinerary of winery visits for event day).
  3. Please review the event program and suggested itineraries to plan a detailed itinerary of winery visits (e.g. plan your preferred route and arrival times to each winery) BEFORE calling to book in your itinerary. Note: wineries will have limited space in each arrival time-slot so ensure you have a few alternatives routes worked out.
